“TOGETHER WE FLY”

For us, it’s a metaphor for how we like to work. Part skill, part improvisation. Always paying attention. In the work. It doesn’t just look good, it feels good. We’ve always got a record on in the studio.

Not smooth jazz. Old jazz. Timeless jazz. For us, it’s a metaphor for how we like to work. Part skill, part improvisation. Always paying attention. In the work. It doesn’t just look good, it feels good.

"KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK"

We are huge fans of Bearings Bike Works, an Atlanta based non-profit that invites kids to earn bikes while developing skills, building friendships, and experiencing mentor support. Bearings had an incredible start to their identity system, but as their organization has grown so has their need for clarity. We have supported them through two brand name changes, event naming, and extending their design system to meet their various needs.

As Bearings built out their new campus, we provided a strategy for placement of signage and murals to suit their needs. From functional and directional to more emotive and inspirational, we used the system to create designs to activate a range of spaces.

The previous Bearings Bike Shop logo was extremely successful. However, the organization had grown beyond the retail experience to include more programming and an expanded campus. They needed a new name to encapsulate it all.

We came up with Bearings Bike Works as a way to integrate with the existing identity and fit into the landscape of trade skills development non-profits. We also crafted the shorthand “B” symbol for use in smaller spaces.
